Alex Pettett, Executive Director World Witness Alex has served for 12 years in missions in the Middle East. Many of those years have been spent helping refugees and planting churches. His life in ministry also included two years of youth ministry in an Arab church in Israel and five years of youth ministry at First ARP Church, Gastonia, NC. Alex’s wife, Jamie, is originally from Illinois where she did B.A. studies at the University of Illinois in the subject of Islam. They met in Amman, Jordan in 1999 as Alex was completing an M.A. in Judaic studies at Hebrew University. They have been married for 15 years and have three amazing kids (Abigail, Elisa and Josiah) and a dog, Piper. Performing under the name Songs of the Folk, the two have sung in folk clubs, high security prisons, internationally known music venues, and house concerts across three countries. In 2023, the Casons moved to Chelmsford, England where they partnered with a local church to do music outreach within the city and across England through World Witness. They are passionate about using music and the creative arts to uplift, encourage, love, and share the light of Christ with those in difficult circumstances.
